Set in the charming small Dorset town of Beaminster our 200 hundred year old cottage offers comfortable accommodation for 6 adults , combining the convenience of modern day appliances with the relaxing oldie world charm of yesteryear .

Beaminster features over 200 hundred listed buildings ,with the whole of its historic center being a Conservation area .Virtually destroyed by fire during the Civil War it was rebuilt with yellow-golden stone from local quarries .

Standing at the head of the Vale of the River Brit , and a few miles north of Bridport ,  Beaminster and the surrounding countryside provide good costal and inland walking , or the opportunity of enjoying the many local villages , and nearby ancient towns such as Axminster ,  Dorchester , Sherborne , and Bridport , or the costal resorts of Lyme Regis and Charmouth . This is , of course "Hardy Country" , so why not visit the novelist's birthplace at Higher Bockhampton , or his later home at Max Gate . Other local places of interest include Mapperton House formal garden and manor house , Broardwindsor craft and design center , Abbotsbury with its world-famous swannery and tropical gardens . There is also plenty of sporting pastimes to enjoy including walking , horse riding , golf , and fishing from West Bay .

• July-Sept  £600
• Christmas New year and Easter Weeks £600 .
• Low season from £400 .
• Rent includes heating (logs for lounge fire provided October-April ) lighting , hot water . 
• Cottage equipment includes  phone (incoming calls) , fridge , cooker , television&video .
• Check in time from 4 pm Saturday , the cottage must be vacated by 10 am on day of departure .
• Short breaks are available out of season Oct-March phone for price .
• £100 non-refundable deposit  required at the time of booking , balance to be paid in full one month prior to start of let
